Long before Tracey "Like the deserts miss the rain" Thorn made it big with Everything But The Girl she founded this lo-fi folk trio at university, releasing two albums and scoring 2 indie hits. They would have sunk (...ey?) into relative obscurity if not for Kurt Cobain listing them as one of his fifty favourite bands in his post-humously released journal and anchoring (...sorry) their place in folk history. With tracks such as this, it's easy to sea (hmm...) why he fell for their classic minimal sound.
ok, I can see nautical jokes aren't my thing.
I'll stop before you all get tide of reading them.

Afrikan Boy's Recession Rap.
It seems that even high rolling gangstar pimping hip hop thugs have been hit hard by the recession. Gone are the days of Money, Cash and Hoes it seems rappers such as Afrikan Boy, who made his debut on M.I.A's acclaimed Kala album, can't even afford 12p chicken noodles. And to think, Puff Daddy used to complain about "more money, more problems," try telling that A.B. Diddy. Unforgivable.

Cross Dressing Cage Fighters beat shit out of Chav Scum. World rejoices.
The only thing that could of made this clip any better would have been overdubbed Batman-esque "Kapow!" "Bang!" "Wallop!" sound effects. But hey, it's chavs getting beaten up by cage fighters dressed as women, that would just be greedy.
